Norman 23.Built from Hull and superstructure and owned from new. Original gel coat polished an NO SCRATCHES. Built with marine ply. brass and stainless steel materials. Inboard BMC  Captain engine (30 hp) and Enfield leg. Not antifouled (still original paint). Twin diesel tanks (fill from either sid with change over). Two gas bottles.40 (approx) gallon cold water tank. Stainless pullpit. Twin battery package with isolators. Double skinned construction with marine ply and expanded polyurethane foam. (absolutely solid). All fittings (including mahogany (unmarked) rubbing stakes through bolted with marine ply backing pads bedded on resin putty. New cover with new spare. Full nav lights and eco sounder plus two sizes of prop-canal or rougher water. All aluminium windows and Houdini hatch. Boat on very heavy trailer (4 wheels) which could be for sale.
Always stored ashore over winter in barn. Used only lightly but not for 7 years. Everything winterised but will need some tlc to bring to perfect life again. Will need new fridge and portapotti. Velvet cushions almost unmarked in side cabin. Leather cloth seat cushions in rear cabin. Fuel gauge, temp gauge oil pressure temp etc.

FOR SALE : NORMAN 25 PROJECT

Rare Norman 25 1970's. The 1600 Diesel engine was ready to be replaced inboard have a new 1800 to replace it, just need to swap the marinising bits to the new engine. In February the bilge pump failed and she sank.  Now the electrics will need all the terminals replacing. Has "z" drive, two 110 ah batteries out of the bank of five still work, These are charged by several powerful solar panels mounted on the roof. A calorifier off hot coolant from the engine gives piping hot water to sink and wash basin, pressure pumped water. There was a project for solar hot water pump and collect have been installed just needs a photovoltic to drive it. New stainless steel pulpit rail and stainless steel sun deck on rear.  Have cushions for inside and sundeck which has a gazebo that looks dandy. I think the cooker with 2 rings, grill and oven will need replacing as too will some of the woodwork. Will include anchor, mooring ropes, portapotti, circular sink, all lights both internal and external. Currently birthed at Wychnor Wharf on Trent Mersey Canal, Nr Alrewas of A38 in Staffordshire. Gunwhale fender timbers replaced in last two years. Have purchase new strathing timbers recommend taking out of water check and refurbish antifouling etc. BSC expires in February 2010.
The boat would make an ideal project for someone with some time to spare. My partner has developed arthritis and so our days of cruising are over.  The kindest thing would be to sell her to someone interested in restoring her back to her former glory.

This nice little Yamaha was on our boat when we bought it, from the documents that came with the boat it looked like it had been regularly serviced.

I am very very fortunate to have a friend, who is a marine engineer who has looked after it for me since  What he does not know about outboards is not worth knowing.  It had some corrosion on the outside of the casing that Yamaha say was caused by a casting on that model that allowed water to remain inside the internal chambers and not drain out, it was corrected on later models.  All corrosion has been ground right out and repaired.   To prevent water retention occurring again two drain holes have been added, cosmetically they look like they are supposed to be there.

All brand new gaskets were used when it was reassembled.  Naturally a new impeller was fitted and the gear box and engine oils were changed, the spark plugs had only done a few hours and were fine so we reused them.   It runs very quietly and sweetly when tested in a tank. The engine really is in good condition for its age.

Why am I selling?  Well, whilst the service work and overhaul was being done my wife looked at outboards on the web and saw a brand new 9.9 Yamaha with power tilt on eBay at an unrepeatable price, that, due to a move to a drastically cheaper mooring, our boat fund could stretch to. So I bought it and I now have this one for sale.
 
Currently fitted with a 9” pitch high thrust prop, it served us perfectly when we moved our boat from Stratford-upon-Avon to Erith, which was a trip of 189 miles and 159 locks, and many other trips after that.  This may need to be changed to one appropriate for another boat.

Selling for £600, though I will sell to a fellow member of this forum for £580 (final price). I live near Eastbourne and would be happy to show the motor running in the test tank.  If you are interested you can ring me on 01323 486247 any evening after 18:00.

This is a sadly neglected Norman 22. It has been on hard standing for over 3 years. Boat safety ran out in 2008. The trailer you can have but I would not recommend it for road use. It needs a kind and loving owner who has the time and skill to resore it to its former glory. I bought a control board but have never fitted it.
Inside there is an oven and hob, wash basin, heater and all the normal things you would expect. Honda out-board (not sure if it still works).
I have not had the time or skill to restore but wish I did.

FOR SALE : NORMAN 20 & TRAILER

ENGINE & TRAILER STILL UNDER WARRANTY!

This is an excellent, complete starter package. Everything has been set up ready for the buyer to hook up, drive away, put her into the water and enjoy!
The boat is a Norman 20 Cruiser – “Lydia”. She was built circa 1979 and is in excellent condition for her age. She is currently out of the water and can be inspected by appointment.
The boat is being sold with a De Graaff braked roller trailer with docking arms (warranty until June 2010) for easy slipping and a Honda BF15 electric start engine which is still under the Honda warranty. There are numerous extras for sale with this boat. She has a beautiful interior (lovely woodwork) and does not need any maintenance or update. She has a current Boat Safety Certificate valid until May 2013.
Lydia has had a repaint, new anti-slip and new anti-foul in 2009 and her grab rails were re-sanded and treated with Danish oil. The canopy hood is in very good condition.
The engine is a Honda BF15 LRE 15hp four stroke engine with full Honda remotes and electric start which we upgraded to in 2009.
An adder rudder was fitted for improved steering at low speed along with the engine by a Honda dealership (Marine Performance in Upton-on-Severn). The engine was built in 2005 but first registered and used in 2006. It still has one year of the Honda warranty remaining and comes with the full service history. Since it has been on the boat the engine has less than 30 hours use and is currently winterised. This is over £2k worth of engine and equipment.
The trailer is a De Graaff  PA1300/2 adjustable, galvanised steel roller trailer purchased in June 2009 and still under warranty until June 2010.
The trailer has been fully adjusted for Lydia and also has additional side docking arms to make slipping and recovering the boat a hundred times easier. It comes with a Bradley hitch lock, spare wheel and very well designed anti-theft wheel clamp. Again this is almost £2k worth of equipment.
Lydia’s interior has beautiful woodwork and good quality cushions. She has a twin Flavia gas hob and grill in full working order with a safety cut off valve. There is a small sink with pumped running cold water from a 50 litre water tank. The electrics of the boat are in excellent condition with numerous well placed cabin and cockpit lights and a 12v DC fridge. The engine of the boat recharges the battery (75amp leisure battery) at 12 amps per hour. There is an additional solar powered trickle charge unit.
There is a separate cabin area containing a Porta Potti portable toilet unit. There are four adult self-inflating life jackets bought in 2009 and under warranty as well as one baby and two childrens lifejackets (cost over £200). The boat comes complete with two fire extinguishers, a fire blanket, life ring, an air horn, all the necessary fenders, mooring ropes, boathook, anchor, mooring pins and windlasses.

Hi,  unfortunately I am forced to offer my Norman 20 for sale.  It is in need of refitting, I bought it salvage and have tidied it up a bit.  There is a 60hp Evinrude outboard with it, it appears seized due to lack of use but some time, oil, heat and TLC should see it OK.  The boat is on a mud mooring in Cornwall and I have no trailer, so buyer must come equipped.

I had high hopes for this boat, it can be seen in the photo galleries on this site, it's called Seaspray.  It's a bit cleaner now though.  Unfortunately severe lung disease has put a stop to my ambitions, hence the sale.

For sale is our 23ft Norman Cruiser, "Lamorna".  Bought five years ago as a complete project - to be gutted and restored.  Out of water for 10 years to our knowledge, but holds rain water, so should float! -what can't get out, can't get in!.  On sturdy trailer (brakes in-operative due to no brake shoes!), to be included in price, plus Mercury 200 outboard (never tried, may be complete or incomplete, & fuel tank).  To date we have not had time to start renovations due to other (4 wheel renovations!).  Now feel it is time to move on to someone who is more 'boaty' minded than us. Norman 23 circa 1970's. 1500 BMC Diesel inboard, "z" drive with course keeper, twin 110 ah batteries, calorifier off of engine gives piping hot water to sink and shower, electric pumped water, cooker with 2 rings, grill and oven, anchor, lifebelt, curtains, mooring ropes, portapotti, fitted kitchen with tiled worktop and circular sink, all lights both internal and external. Currently out of the water. Requires a good external clean, antifouling prior to going back in water, topsides repainting and 2 side windows in canopy. The engine ran fine before she came out of the water but the batteries will probably require charging. BSC currently expired but will be renewed for a satisfactory offer. Mooring could be available (subject to satisfactory references to boatyard) The boat is currently on brokerage at Beeston Marina, Nottingham and can be inspected there during normal chandlery hours.

This boat has been completely stripped out and I have begun to recondition it. I am selling as I have run out of time (as usual).
The boat has a brand new set of 6mm Perspex windows which cost £750, including two Venus ‘portlights’ in the side windows as shown.
I have fitted the boat inside and out with Marine grade plywood, however it has not yet been varnished. I also have a brand new set of cushions with beige covers for the boat. The structure and hull is sound and I have sanded down the whole outside of the boat and coated with primer. It looks acceptable as it is but needs a top coat to complete.
The trailer has had a new brake cable and I have reconditioned the supports. I have also fitted two brand new tyres.
This boat has a lot of potential when finished, and not a huge amount of work left.

Reluctant sale of "The Old Boy" Norman 18 Cruiser complete with full Mercury Power Trim 25hp outboard.
Built around 1977 this lovely boat has now been equipped with an electric start Mariner Mercury 25hp 4 stroke engine complete with full power trim giving the boat a smooth ride in all conditions.
The engine cost nearly £2,000 with only 30 hours of use since new.
New windows and a new canopy have been fitted in late 2004 and a stainless steel sink with electric water pump is sited in the cockpit area leaving the cabin uncluttered.
Included in the price are fenders, ropes, anchor, lifebuoy and a new portaloo.
The canal and river licence is valid until March 2010 and the boat will be sold with a new 4 year Boat Safety Certificare.
"The Old Boy" is moored on private moorings on the Stainforth and Keady canal, Thorne, near Doncaster in South Yorkshire. (The canal connects the river Don to the river Trent)
The boat is moored very close to 2 local marinas which have moorings, slipways and hoisting equipment.

Complete with trailer

Due to purchasing a narrowboat, I am reluctantly selling "Stephanie" my 1966 Norman 17 cruiser.  "Stephanie" comes complete with a Snipe Breakback trailer.
The boat is fully restored and is currently moored on the Cauldon Canal.  She is a real eye-catcher and runs extremely well!!
As part of the restoration, I replaced and added the following:
  * All new window seals  * All new de-fendering * Completely repainted
  * Re-wired * New engine hardwood transom fitted * New cushions made and fitted * New carpets fitted
  * 2 x Helm seat purchased and fitted (The photos show 1 helm seat, we added a second one in April 09)

 ‘Lazy Daze’ 23’ x 6’10” Norman GRP 4 Berth Cruiser (1980s vintage?)

This had a wooden ‘Shed’ built over the cockpit by a previous owner. This is now rotting. I bought it to restore to original with a pram canopy however ill health intervened and I am physically unable to continue, so it has to go.
It has been neglected for a long time. It will not currently move under its own power and is in need of both work and TLC such as:-
• Shed to be removed and canopy/screen acquired and fitted
• Interior paintwork restoring to original.
• Engine to get going again – ran well but has not been used for ages.
